The Best Salsa Recipe EVER

This salsa is so easy, so affordable and SO good! I have made it every week for about 3 years because my husband and everyone I make it for becomes slightly obsessed…come to think of it, I’m pretty sure it made my brother in law, Brad, like me. Now every time we get together he asks if I brought the salsa.

So basically if you’re wanting more friends, just bring this wherever you go! You’ll be the most popular girl in town.

Restaurant Style Salsa

Prep 10 minutes ∙ Makes Serves: 12 ∙ Difficulty Easy


1 can (28 Ounce) Whole Tomatoes With Juice

2 cans (10 Ounce) Rotel (diced Tomatoes And Green Chilies)

1/4 cup Chopped Onion

1 clove Garlic, Minced

1 whole Jalapeno, Quartered And Sliced Thin

1/4 teaspoon Salt

1/4 teaspoon Ground Cumin

1/2 cup Cilantro

1/2 whole Lime Juice


Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Pulse until you get the salsa to the consistency you prefer. I do about 5-10 pulses in my ninja blender.

Note: this makes a VERY large batch. I reccommend using a 12-cup blendee, or you can process the ingredients in batches and then mix everything together in a large mixing bowl.

Pour into jars or tupperare and chill for 30 min to 1 hour before serving.

Serve with tortilla chips, over breakfast burritos…we top it over ALL the things!


After you get more comfortable with the recipe you can play with the ingredients and spice level to tweak to your liking!

This recipe really does make a lot, you can plan to make extra jars for neighbors, friends or co-workers. Adding little tags to the jar for a little extra cuteness!
